BOOK REVIEW: Kingdom of the Wicked Trilogy

✨ Just finished the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy by Kerri Maniscalco, and I am OBSESSED! ✨

This dark and seductive series follows Emilia, a witch on a mission to avenge her sister’s murder. Along the way, she crosses paths with Wrath, one of the seven demon princes of Hell. What unfolds is a thrilling blend of mystery, romance, and danger, as Emilia dives into a world of dark magic, forbidden alliances, and secrets that could change everything.

Each book brought its own twist:

📖 Kingdom of the Wicked—a chilling start full of intrigue.

📖 Kingdom of the Cursed—darker and steamier, with layers of betrayal and temptation.

📖 Kingdom of the Feared—an epic conclusion with jaw-dropping reveals.

If you’re a fan of morally grey characters, enemies-to-lovers tension, and rich world-building, this trilogy is a must-read. Highly recommend for anyone who loves fantasy with a dark edge! 🖤👑

Which of the seven demon princes would you make a deal with? Let me know in the comments! 🕯️

... Read moreOkay, fellow bookworms, I just had to gush a little more about Kerri Maniscalco's Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy! Finishing these books felt like saying goodbye to old friends, but in the best way possible. I know I said I was obsessed, but seriously, this series burrowed its way into my soul and set up permanent residence. What truly makes this trilogy unforgettable, beyond the thrilling plot, is the dynamic between Emilia and Wrath. Their journey from wary adversaries to something undeniably more is a masterclass in the 'enemies-to-lovers' trope. Emilia isn't your typical damsel; she's fierce, driven by a raw desire for justice, and unafraid to venture into the darkest corners of the underworld. And Wrath? He’s the epitome of a morally grey character, dripping with dangerous charm and hidden depths that will keep you guessing. Their banter, the sizzling tension, and the slow burn of their connection are simply *chef's kiss*. If you live for that kind of romantic push-and-pull, you absolutely need to pick these books up. The world-building is another standout. Maniscalco weaves a rich tapestry of ancient magic, Italian folklore, and a deliciously dark version of Hell. From the vibrant streets of Sicily to the opulent, yet treacherous, courts of the demon princes, every setting feels alive and brimming with secrets. You'll find yourself immersed in a world where witches, demons, and dark pacts are commonplace, and the stakes are always incredibly high. This isn't just a fantasy; it's an experience. Each book escalated the intensity beautifully. Kingdom of the Wicked sets the stage with a gripping mystery that pulls you in immediately. Then Kingdom of the Cursed dials up the heat and throws in some shocking betrayals that had me gasping out loud. And *Kingdom of the Feared*? It delivered an epic, satisfying conclusion that tied everything together while still leaving me craving more. The twists and turns are genuinely clever, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. And can we talk about the aesthetics? If you've seen the covers, especially those *Barnes & Noble exclusive editions*, you know what I mean. The artwork, featuring those striking *skulls, crowns, and roses*, perfectly encapsulates the dark, romantic, and slightly ominous atmosphere of the series. They're truly a visual treat and look absolutely stunning on any bookshelf. It's clear a lot of thought went into making these books as beautiful on the outside as they are captivating on the inside. For anyone who loves a fantasy series with a strong female lead, a swoon-worthy (but dangerous) love interest, intricate mysteries, and a truly immersive dark magical world, the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy is an absolute must-read. Seriously, drop everything and start reading. You won't regret it! And tell me, which demon prince would you risk it all for?
