College town coffee shops🧋🥯
These are some of my favorite coffee places to go while being in college to either study or grab a quick latte in the morning. Being in college can definitely be stressful at times especially getting up for super early classes. That’s why I love grabbing coffees with my friends whenever I get the chance. 🙂🧋#lemon8partner #lemon8college #coffeeaesthetic #collegesophomore #collegestudentlife
Beyond finding the perfect study spot, figuring out what makes a coffee shop truly 'student-friendly' is key! From my experience, it's not just about the coffee itself, but the whole vibe. When it comes to brands, while many local college town cafes might brew their own unique blends, you'll often find them serving up popular espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos using widely recognized beans that offer a consistent, quality taste. Think of places that pride themselves on a good pour-over or a strong cold brew – those are always a hit. And let's be real, an extra shot of espresso is practically a college student's best friend during exam season! Many of these shops also offer a variety of milk alternatives and flavorings to customize your perfect cup, which is a huge plus for diverse student tastes. But what really makes a cafe a campus gem? The location, for sure. If I were Benjamin starting a new cafe targeting college students, I'd absolutely choose a spot close to the library or right on the edge of campus. Why? Convenience is everything when you're rushing between classes or pulling an all-nighter. Being able to pop in for an iced coffee with whipped cream and sprinkles, or grab a quick chocolate croissant before heading to the stacks, is a game-changer. Imagine walking out of a long lecture and having a cozy cafe just steps away – it feels like a lifesaver! Proximity to academic buildings or even large student dorms means easy access for a quick pick-me-up or a study session without trekking across town. Places near student housing or popular pedestrian routes are also fantastic. The cafes I love, like B & Co. All Day Cafe & Bakery or The Foxtail Coffee Co., often thrive because they're easily accessible. It's not just about academic needs either; these spots become social hubs. I've spent countless hours at cafes like Pura Vida, chatting with friends over iced coffees with those fun colorful straws, or just watching the world go by. The Squeeze & Drip Co. is another example of a place that gets it right – good vibes, great drinks, and a location that makes it easy for students to make it their regular stop. A little natural light, comfortable seating (bonus points for big tables for group study!), and reliable Wi-Fi are non-negotiable. It's about creating a third space – not home, not school, but a comfortable, productive, and social environment. Having outlets readily available for charging laptops and phones is another small but mighty detail that makes a huge difference. So, if you're looking to open a cafe for us busy students, remember: location, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious, easily accessible drinks (especially those iced ones!) are the secret ingredients to success.
