Campus Tips

1. Find a job on campus

Your campus will have a job portal that will have all the jobs on campus. This makes it easier for you because they are aware you are a student and won’t be as tough on your workload

2. Mobile Apps

If your school has an app get it, it will give you directions to class and offer you quick access to your schedule

3. Locate your classes ahead of time

Campuses are big so getting lost is inevitable but knowing where you class is located ahead of time can lower your chances of getting lost.

... Read moreStarting college can be an overwhelming experience, but knowing the ins and outs of campus life can make a significant difference. Utilizing the job portal at your university is an excellent first step to finding suitable employment. These portals are specifically designed for students, ensuring a manageable workload while balancing academics. Additionally, download your school's mobile app if it’s available. Not only does it provide you with directions to navigate the campus, but it also lets you access your schedule easily. This can help in managing your time effectively. Navigating large campuses can be tricky, so it’s wise to familiarize yourself with classroom locations before your first day. Take a stroll through the campus, check out where each class is held, and reduce the likelihood of arriving late. Moreover, keep an eye on important academic deadlines. Make use of tools like Google Calendar to track application deadlines, enrollment dates, and class schedules. This proactive approach ensures that you never miss critical deadlines and can help you maintain a good academic standing. Overall, staying organized and utilizing available resources can lead to a successful college experience.
