Purple Shampoo & Conditioner
This purple Shampoo & Conditioner is not for my textured hair when i say my hair felt like straw no moisture i had to do a hot oil treatment after I had to wash my hair 4 times which is excessive because the purple wouldn't wash out it left a tint to my hair this was frustrating it did smell good. I was sent this product complimentary for my honest review and opinion by @influenster @mielle

Purple shampoos and conditioners are popular among blondes because they help neutralize brassy and yellow tones, leaving hair looking brighter and fresher. However, as I discovered with the Mielle Blonde Radiance Purple Shampoo & Conditioner, these products might not work equally well for every hair type, especially textured hair. From my experience, the formula seemed to dry my hair out significantly, leaving it feeling like straw after use. To combat this, I found that applying a hot oil treatment afterward was essential to restore moisture and softness. One tricky part with purple products is the pigment they contain. In my case, the purple tint didn’t wash out easily; I had to wash my hair multiple times to remove the residual color. This can be frustrating if you have darker or textured hair that tends to hold onto products longer. Despite that, the shampoo and conditioner had a pleasant scent that made the washing routine more enjoyable. If you have textured hair and want to try purple shampoo, consider using it sparingly and follow up with deep conditioning treatments to maintain moisture balance. Look for sulfate-free and nourishing options like the Mielle products, which are designed to enhance shine and softness, although personal results may vary. Always do a patch test first and be prepared for a possible washout phase to prevent any unwanted tint from lingering. Maintaining blonde tones with textured hair requires a careful balance of cleansing and moisturizing. Products featuring ingredients like Kalahari Melon and Aloe Vera—both known for soothing and hydrating hair—can help improve texture without stripping natural oils. Keep in mind that purple shampoos are primarily targeted at brightening blonde or lightened hair, so choosing a formula compatible with your hair texture and needs is key to achieving the best results.
