Best Places to Visit around Cincinnati, OH!

As a girl who has lived in Cincinnati off and on since she was 6/7, I'd say I know the city pretty well. I'd also say I know other cities I've lived in for a while pretty well and the pros and cons of each city.

Cincinnati is a good city, in my opinion, filled with extremely creative and talented individuals/groups.
The first place in the list isn't in Cincinnati, but about a 30 minute drive from the city. Kings island is a more local amusement park that always has fun things to do no matter what time of the year you're in the park. A lot of their staff and associates are extremely nice and fun to engage with, the children's park is small, but there's enough to get to for an entire day, the food is good, and the rides are fun. Every year there's something different or new added, which keeps it exciting.
The second place is the Cincinnati Museum Center. More commonly known as: Union Terminal. The history behind this building is amazing, and it's such a beautifully preserved piece of the city. There's a kid museum inside, a little bit of a science museum, and a lot of history told within the building. History including the holocaust, the city's history, and more. There's a space that's dedicated to different events and exhibits. This past summer there was a Lego exhibit in said space.
Next, food places.
Of course we have to start with an ice cream place. While Putz is my favorite soft serve ice cream place, and Graters is the most popular and commonly visited ice cream place in Cincinnati, I recommend Jeni's. Jeni's is open year round, and they have the sweetest, most delightful associates and staff. It's in a very cute area with a cute set up around the little shop. I do recommend trying it!
Of course I have to mention the savory Korean BBQ place right across the street. Decibel is located inside a gorgeous complex housing many restaurants with a grand amount of seating areas. It was an old factory from what I can see walking throughout the building. Very pretty and the restaurants are very good. Decibel stood out to me because we only have two Korean BBQ restaurants I know about, this one and DOPE! (I LOVE DOPE), and this restaurant is very unique with ingredients and presentation.
Lastly, a park. Washington Park is located downtown in OTR. It's best to visit the park in the summer when the fountains are on, but the park is a really pretty setting at night ESPECIALLY. All of the lights and the sound of water, the gazebo, and the bar. Amazing.
