Beneath the morning sun’s bright glow, My burning chest begins to beat; And in your tender dawn below, My surrendered heart is at your feet.
I am a seagull in your breeze,
Flying high without a fear,
Sustained within your arms with ease, Like flower upon flower, near.
Your skin is like a peaceful sea
Where my weary soul can rest;
Your loving kiss, so sweet to me,
Like nectar from the rose’s chest.
When the sun bows down its head
And the evening steals the light,
Your clear gaze, by beauty led,
Is my truest star at night.
Through this life we walk as one,
Like two birds that fill the air;
Bound by chains we have undone,
With no north but longing there.
And if the world should turn to gray; Beneath the shadows or the strain, My hope remains along the way: You are the warmth that will remain!

Bajo el sol de la mañana,
late mi pecho encendido;
y en tu ternura temprana,
mi corazón va rendido.
Gaviota soy en tu viento,
vuelo alto, sin temor,
y en tus brazos me sustento
como flor sobre su flor.
Tu piel es mar sosegado
donde mi alma reposa;
y tu beso enamorado,
como el néctar de la rosa.
Cuando el sol baja su frente
y la tarde se arrebata,
tu mirada, transparente,
es mi estrella más exacta.
Juntos vamos por la vida
como dos aves del cielo;
sin cadenas, sin partida,
sin más norte que el anhelo.
Y si el mundo se oscurece
bajo sombras o dolor,
mi esperanza permanece:
¡tú eres siempre mi calor!
