Places I Want To Visit Pt. 2 ✈️

Oh, Puerto Rico! Just the name brings a smile to my face, and it's absolutely at the top of my 'places to visit' list for so many reasons. While my initial post just mentioned it, I've been doing some serious dreaming and research, and I just have to share what I'm picturing for my trip. I'm imagining capturing every vibrant moment for my #PUERTORICOGRAM! First on my list is definitely Old San Juan. I’ve seen so many pictures of those cobblestone streets and brightly colored colonial buildings, and I can almost feel the history under my feet. I want to spend hours just wandering, getting lost in the charming alleys, finding hidden courtyards, and soaking up the atmosphere. Visiting El Morro and Castillo de San Cristóbal, those incredible fortresses, feels like a must-do. The views over the ocean from there must be breathtaking, perfect for some stunning photos. And, of course, I'd love to try some authentic street food from a local vendor while I'm exploring. Then, for a completely different vibe, I'm absolutely set on exploring El Yunque National Forest. The idea of hiking through the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System sounds incredibly refreshing. I can picture myself chasing waterfalls, feeling the cool mist, and listening to the coqui frogs. It's such a unique natural wonder, and I hear there are some amazing trails for all fitness levels. I'd pack my waterproof camera for sure! And speaking of unique, a night tour to one of Puerto Rico's bioluminescent bays is high on my agenda. Laguna Grande in Fajardo, Mosquito Bay in Vieques, or La Parguera in Lajas – whichever I choose, the thought of seeing the water glow with every paddle stroke just sounds magical beyond words! It’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I know I’d never forget. Of course, a trip to Puerto Rico wouldn't be complete without some serious beach time. I've heard incredible things about Flamenco Beach in Culebra, often hailed as one of the world's best. The soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters sound like paradise. But even closer to the main island, Luquillo Beach looks absolutely stunning with its palm-lined shores and calm waters, perfect for a relaxing day. I can already taste the fresh coco frio! Beyond the sights, I'm so excited about the food and culture. I'm dying to try mofongo (especially with some delicious garlic shrimp!), and I want to experience the vibrant music and dance. I imagine evenings filled with salsa rhythms and the warmth of the local people. It's not just about the destinations; it's about fully immersing myself in the spirit of the island. This trip isn't just about seeing places; it's about creating unforgettable memories and truly experiencing the magic of Puerto Rico. I can't wait to share my adventures with you all!
