☀️Day 9: Daily Diary Affirmations

✨ I forgive those who have hurt me. ✨

For me to stay sober I have to be willing to forgive. If I can’t forgive that for me is a step towards the first drink.

It took me a long time to forgive but now that I have there is a sense of freedom unlike anything I have known. The best part is I don’t need the other person to forgive and let go those actions. I can do it all myself. Mostly though I choose to forgive myself because I’m one of those people I hurt so badly. I was abusive to myself, yet because of 12 steps I am now free of holding onto the past and I can live in forgiveness.

I wish you all an amazing day 💜
