Men You should Avoid!

It's so much more than just financial stability, though that's certainly important for building a life together. What I've truly come to understand is that real provision encompasses a man's entire character and his commitment to God. Think about it: how can a man truly provide emotional security if he's unfaithful? Trust is the bedrock of any relationship, and without it, you're constantly walking on eggshells. A man who provides genuinely offers unwavering loyalty and a safe space for your heart. This isn't just about avoiding physical infidelity, but also emotional unfaithfulness – someone whose heart and attention are consistently divided. Then there's the issue of selfishness. A selfish man, by definition, will prioritize his own needs and desires above all else. How can he genuinely provide for your well-being, your dreams, or even your daily practical needs if his focus is always inwards? True provision involves selflessness, a willingness to serve and uplift, mirroring Christ's love. I've personally seen how a man's generosity, both in spirit and in resources, can truly bless a relationship. The lack of prayer is another crucial red flag, especially for a woman of God. A man who isn't committed to his spiritual walk, who doesn't seek God's guidance, will struggle to provide spiritual leadership or support. How can he pray for you, build you up in faith, or stand strong against spiritual challenges if his own spiritual life is neglected? For me, a praying man is a providing man in the most profound sense, offering spiritual covering and partnership. Lastly, a lustful man cannot provide true intimacy or respect. Lust reduces a person to an object, whereas true provision cherishes, honors, and protects. A man who provides genuine love and commitment understands and respects your boundaries, valuing your soul and spirit above fleeting desires. This means not just avoiding outward acts of lust, but also a heart that seeks purity and honors you as a temple of the Holy Spirit. My own experiences and reflections, much like the guidance I keep in my personal notebook page, have shown me that these traits – unfaithfulness, selfishness, lack of prayer, and lust – are huge indicators of a man who will struggle to provide in the ways that truly matter for a godly relationship. So, when we ask ourselves 'should a man provide,' let's broaden our understanding to include spiritual, emotional, and character-based provision. It’s about seeking a man whose foundation is solid in Christ, enabling him to truly give, protect, and lead in love.
