Activity Review:

✨Activity/Experience: 10/10🌟

... Read moreIf you're planning the trek from Singapore to Mount Rinjani, it’s important to prepare thoroughly beyond just budgeting and packing. From personal experience, securing flights early can help reduce costs significantly since flight prices to Lombok fluctuate. Also, arranging your airport transfers and accommodation close to the trekking start point in Senaru made logistics much smoother for me. Regarding gear, while I borrowed trekking poles from the agency, I recommend testing them beforehand to ensure comfort and support, especially since the hike is quite strenuous. A backpack with hip pads was a lifesaver in reducing shoulder strain during challenging climbs. Weather here can be variable; the summit reaches up to 3726 meters, so layering with heat-tech, windbreaker, and a down jacket kept me warm, especially at night. Sunglasses were essential not just for sun protection but also to shield from occasional volcanic ash. Although the trek is rated more intense than the ABC trek in Nepal, my personal tip is to pay close attention to trail conditions and your own physical limits. Going with a local guide improved my safety awareness and enriched the experience with cultural and natural knowledge. Beyond the trek, exploring Lombok’s local food and culture after your adventure adds a rewarding end to your trip. Sharing my experience, I highly recommend this trek to fit and prepared travelers looking for a memorable challenge paired with breathtaking scenery.

I cried 9 times hiking Mount Rinjani ⛰️🌄
As tough as it looks and sounds, Mount Rinjani is definitely not for the weak but I still decided to do it. With no prior hiking experience, I decided to take this on purely to challenge myself and honestly, it was the best decision I have ever made. Would I do it again? Yes, definitely.

Above the clouds on Rinjani 🌋
My bf and I conquered our second summit together in September’25! We flew to Lombok to do a 2D1N hike at Mt Rinjani. It is the most physically demanding challenge I have completed in my life. In July, it was Mt Fuji. In August, it was my first half-marathon. Then, in September, it was Rinjani. D

Where I’ve hiked so far as a beginner⛰️🥾
I love being anywhere near nature, and most of the time I try to squeeze in a short hike while travelling. In recent years, I decided to be a little more adventurous and started going on overnight hikes. I’ve kind of become one of those people who travel just to hike (pushing 30s thing 🤭). I cam
