Follow my journey on making money online with free tactics I’ve tried and researched to sell digital products. I started 3 faceless accounts (okay, one of them I show my face once a month, lol). Call me crazy, but I’m really good at multitasking, so starting multiple accounts didn’t scare me! They’re all niche-specific passions of mine that I’ve wanted to dive into forever, so I thought, why not start them all at once? (But TBH, I don’t recommend this if you’re not familiar with digital marketing, ‘cause starting more than one niche can be overwhelming!)
I’m here to share what I’ve learned, failed at, and accomplished on this journey. Let’s swap stories of success and failure, babes! I also started this journey because I didn’t want to spend $$$ on the MRR course (who can relate? 🙋🏼♀️). I found free and affordable alternatives that have already helped me, and I can’t wait to share them with the world! 🫶🏼
... Read moreHey fellow digital dreamers! Since I first introduced myself, I've had so many of you reach out about how I’m actually doing this digital entrepreneur thing without breaking the bank on expensive courses. So, let’s dive a little deeper into those 'free tactics' and 'affordable alternatives' I mentioned.
One of the biggest questions I get is about starting a business without buying into every 'must-have' course out there. Trust me, I get it – the pressure to invest can be huge! But as someone who *didn't buy the MRR course*, I truly believe you can build a thriving digital product business with smart, free strategies. My secret? Leveraging free tools and platforms, and focusing on genuine value.
For digital product creation, think about what skills you already have or what problems you can solve. I started by creating simple, editable templates using Canva's free version. You can design anything from social media templates to planners, e-books, or even simple digital art. The key is to make them high-quality and genuinely useful. Once created, I use platforms like Gumroad for selling – their free tier is perfect for beginners, letting you list products and handle payments without upfront costs.
Now, about those 'faceless accounts' – they’ve been a game-changer for me! The beauty of a faceless account is that it puts the focus entirely on your content and niche, not on you personally. This can be less intimidating if you're new to content creation or prefer privacy. I choose niches I'm passionate about, then use tools for creating visually appealing content without showing my face. Think stock photos, engaging text overlays, aesthetic videos, or even AI-generated art. For example, if your niche is productivity, you could share aesthetic study routines, digital planner flips, or motivational quotes. Pinterest and TikTok are fantastic for organic reach with this type of content.
Building a community is also crucial. Instead of just posting, engage with your audience. Respond to comments, ask questions, and create polls. This builds trust and shows you're a real person behind the digital curtain. Remember, consistency is more important than perfection when you're starting out.
When it comes to learning, I’ve found incredible value in free online resources. YouTube is a treasure trove for tutorials on everything from graphic design to digital marketing strategies. Look for channels from established creators who openly share their knowledge. Blogs and free webinars from reputable sources are also fantastic. The trick is to be discerning and cross-reference information. Don't just consume; apply what you learn immediately.
It's not always easy, and I've definitely had my share of trial and error. There will be days when you feel overwhelmed, especially if you're juggling multiple accounts like me! My advice? Start small, focus on one niche until you gain momentum, and don't be afraid to experiment. The digital world is constantly evolving, so continuous learning and adapting are your best friends. My journey on Lemon8 is just beginning, and I’m so excited to share more of what’s working (and what’s not!) with you all. Let's keep learning and growing together!
