There’s no place like home!

... Read more“There's no place like home!” It’s a phrase we’ve all heard countless times, often associated with Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. But as I've gotten older, its meaning has truly transformed for me. It’s no longer just about returning to a physical place; it’s about embracing a feeling. That "pov: when you reach that age where chilling at home is your favorite vibe" resonates deeply with my soul now. For me, home isn't just four walls and a roof; it's my sanctuary, my ultimate comfort zone, and truly my favorite place to be. I remember a time when the thought of a Friday night in felt like a missed opportunity. Now, it's the pinnacle of my week! There’s a unique peace that comes with closing your front door, shedding the day’s stresses, and simply existing in your own space. It's where I can truly be myself, without any external pressures or expectations. This feeling of security and comfort is, I believe, the modern interpretation of "there's no place like home." It means cultivating an environment where you feel most at ease, most rejuvenated, and most authentically you. So, why has "chilling at home" become my favorite vibe? Honestly, it’s about intentional living. It’s about creating moments of calm in a chaotic world. Whether it's curling up with a good book, enjoying a home-cooked meal, or simply listening to music, these simple pleasures feel amplified within the walls of my own space. It’s a chance to recharge, to think, to create, and to connect with myself or loved ones without distractions. It's where I can truly indulge in self-care, away from the constant buzz of social obligations. If you're looking to make your home your favorite place, too, it’s easier than you might think. Start by engaging your senses. I love diffusing essential oils or lighting a beautifully scented candle – it instantly transforms the atmosphere and creates a "home sweet scented home." Think about textures: soft blankets, plush cushions, and cozy rugs can make any corner feel more inviting. Good lighting, especially warm, ambient light, can make a huge difference in creating a relaxing mood. Don't underestimate the power of a designated cozy corner. Mine is a comfy armchair by the window, perfect for reading or simply watching the world go by. Fill your space with things that bring you joy, whether it's plants, art, or cherished mementos. And remember, sometimes the best way to make your home feel amazing is by decluttering – a clear space often leads to a clear mind. Embracing the "homebody" lifestyle isn't about isolation; it's about making a conscious choice to prioritize your well-being and find profound joy in the simple, beautiful act of being at home. It’s about making your space truly yours, a place where you always feel like you belong, because truly, there's no place quite like it.

things I WISH I KNEW before I got my OWN PLACE 🤯💐🏡
Having an apartment on your own can be hard and cause a lot of nervous and anxious thoughts. For me, I thought it had to be “perfect”- that if I had an apartment it had to be an “aesthetic” in every aspect right off the bat. But the reality is that if you’re working full time to support yourself, y

Things I want In my dream home🤍
I’m back with part two of things I was in my future/dream home!! None of these things are necessity but that’s the fun of a dream home. 🤍Big Sink - I hate small sinks because it feels like there’s no space to wash the bigger pots and pans. I’d love a big, deep sink that all dish types fit in. 🤍

Here are some of the scents that I curated that reminds me of a warm, inviting home. You don’t have to have an actual home, for it to be a home. You could literally live in an apartment, motel, camper, trailer, etc. and it’s still a home. Wherever you live, you make that place your home. I feel
