Starting with Tsukiji, the Outer Market is an extraordinary place for seafood lovers, especially if you crave sashimi and uni so fresh it sets a new standard for taste. I was amazed by how vibrant and lively the market feels early in the morning, and the variety of stalls made it a paradise for discovering local delicacies. In Ginza, the mix of luxury, lifestyle, and quirky finds makes shopping an exciting adventure. The 12-story Uniqlo flagship store alone is a sight to behold, offering something for every shopper. Itoya’s multi-level stationery and craft supplies made me appreciate the Japanese dedication to detail and design. Ginza Loft is not just a store, but an experience with its curated selection of lifestyle goods, from beauty products to unique matcha snacks in adorable packaging. Don’t miss the standing sushi at Nemuro Hanamaru; despite the unconventional setup requiring you to stand through your meal, the freshness and tea powder service created an unforgettable dining moment. Asakusa’s charm lies in its blend of history and shopping, with the famous Senso-ji Temple acting as a spiritual centerpiece surrounded by vibrant Nakamise Street stalls selling souvenirs, snacks, and crafts. The underground street and Kappabashi Kitchen Supply Town offer unique shopping for foodies and kitchenware enthusiasts, adding a different layer of cultural discovery. Don’t forget to try local pastries from places like Kamejuu, which locals adore. Shimbashi is a paradise for ramen fans, especially with spots like Ichiran where you can customize your bowl to your exact preferences. The privacy concept of individual booths was neat, giving an intimate dining experience despite the often long queues. Visiting during off-peak hours or less busy branches can save time. Each district encapsulates distinct elements of Tokyo—whether it's the fresh culinary delights of Tsukiji, the blend of luxury and creativity in Ginza, the historical aura of Asakusa, or the cozy ramen culture in Shimbashi. Exploring these areas gave me an enriching taste of Tokyo’s diverse offerings that I highly recommend to fellow travelers and food enthusiasts.

things to know before going to tokyo 🇯🇵
tokyo looks easy to explore… but it’s really not 😭 i didn’t expect things like train exits, last trains, or bookings to matter this much but they actually affect your day a lot more than you think wrong exit = extra 15 mins walking no booking = can’t enter miss last train = expensive taxi
