Celebrating my moms 94th B-Day‼️
My beautiful momma turned 94 and I just had to share her with you. To know her is to love her. Anyone who’s met her would tell you that. ❤️
After her strokes, it’s been harder for her to speak, but one thing she has made very clear is that her first great @Discovering_The_Foothills Glendora grandchild, Ronin, is the apple of her eye.
We celebrated her with a luau-themed birthday party at my house, with Mexican food, Tito’s empanadas — and yes, if you know, you know. 🌺 If you’re in LA and want the info, send me a DM.
We played charades, laughed over board games, and ended the day with a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake, her favorite.
Life is precious, and none of us know what tomorrow brings. That’s why moments like this mean everything. Today we celebrated a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Happy 94th birthday, Madre. I love you so much. 💕✨
Celebrating a loved one's 94th birthday is truly a special milestone that brings family together in a meaningful way. In sharing my experience, I want to emphasize how important it is to cherish these precious moments, especially when our loved ones face health challenges like strokes that affect their communication. Planning a themed party, such as a luau, creates a festive atmosphere that lifts spirits and encourages connection. Including familiar favorite foods like Tito’s empanadas alongside Mexican delights adds a personal touch that everyone appreciates. Since the birthday honoree struggled to speak after strokes, I found that focusing on activities centered around togetherness—like playing charades and board games—helped everyone engage without pressure. Ending the celebration with a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake, a favorite treat, was a lovely way to honor tradition and delight the birthday momma. It’s moments like these that remind us life is fragile and unconditional love is what counts most. For families in the Glendora and LA area, I recommend exploring local eateries for authentic empanadas or other special treats to personalize your gatherings. And when mobility or speech is limited for elders, small gestures—like making them the center of attention with stories and shared laughs—can mean the world to them. Ultimately, celebrating a 94th birthday is not just about longevity but honoring the legacy, resilience, and the deep bonds that tie generations together. It’s a privilege to share these memories with you, and I hope it inspires you to cherish your family moments even more.
