Kiss- lick it up

#kiss 'Lick it Up' released in 1983. One of two albums to include Vinnie Vincent on guitar. Vinnie replaced original guitarist Ace Frehley. This was the first, of many, Kiss albums to show them without make up. Song wise, I like this album. "lick it up" was the big single, and was still a part of the band's setlist during the Farewell Tour. "all Hell's Breaking Lose", "Young and Wasted", and "Exciter" are decent songs.

Kiss's 'Lick It Up' is more than just an album; it's a significant milestone in rock history. Released during a period of transition for the band, it showcased their evolution as a group. This album was pivotal as it introduced Vinnie Vincent, who replaced Ace Frehley, bringing a different sound and energy to the band's music. This change was reflected in the hard-hitting tracks such as 'Exciter' and 'All Hell’s Breaking Loose,' both of which have become staples in their live performances. The unmasking of Kiss in the 1980s symbolized a shift in their image and strategy, making 'Lick It Up' notable not only for its music but also for its cultural relevance. Tracks like 'Young and Wasted' resonated with fans, exploring themes of youth and rebellion that were particularly appealing during the time. The album’s title track remains a beloved anthem, continually featured in the band's setlists even in later tours. This enduring appeal illustrates Kiss's ability to connect with their audience beyond the glam and makeup that defined their early careers. Fans and newcomers alike can appreciate the album's blend of rock anthems and introspective lyrics. For anyone interested in the legacy of Kiss, 'Lick It Up' is an essential listen, representing the band's resilience and adaptability in the evolving landscape of rock music.
