Mega Aerodactyl and Virizion Raids in Pokémon GO

Hey fellow trainers! I'm so excited about the current Mega Aerodactyl and Virizion raids happening from July 28 to August 4. I know these can be tough, but with the right strategy, you can grant yourself a much easier time and maybe even snag a shiny! I've been grinding these myself, and I wanted to share my personal tips and what I've learned to help you all out. Let's talk about Mega Aerodactyl first. As a Rock/Flying type, it's a fantastic attacker, but it also has quite a few weaknesses: Water, Electric, Ice, Rock, and Steel. I remember my first few attempts were a disaster until I really focused on its weaknesses. Based on what I've seen and the best advice out there, Crowned Zacian and Primal Kyogre are absolute beasts against it. Crowned Zacian's Behemoth Blade just tears through it, and Primal Kyogre's Origin Pulse is incredibly effective. Make sure your counters have strong fast and charged attacks of these types. Don't forget, you can also use other great options like Mega Swampert or even Metagross if you don't have the rarer ones. Aim for weather boosts if you can – rainy weather for Water or Electric types, and snowy for Ice types will grant you extra damage! And yes, a shiny Mega Aerodactyl is out there, so keep raiding and good luck! Next up is Virizion, the Fighting/Grass-type Legendary. This one is a gem for the Ultra League, and I've been trying to get a perfect one myself! Its weaknesses are Flying, Fire, Poison, Ice, and Fairy. I've found that strong Flying-type attackers are your best bet. The OCR info pointed to Mega Rayquaza and *Shadow Moltres*, and I couldn't agree more. Mega Rayquaza with Dragon Ascent is just phenomenal, and Shadow Moltres with Sky Attack can dish out insane damage. If you don't have those, regular Moltres, Yveltal, or even a strong Honchkrow can do the trick. Just make sure your team is diverse. Sunny weather can boost Fire-type attacks, which can really grant you an edge in these raids. Virizion's CP can be pretty high, so having a good group is crucial. Keep an eye out for that green shiny – it's beautiful! To grant yourself the best chance at success for both Mega Aerodactyl and Virizion, here are some general raid tips I always use. Firstly, always check your Pokémon's IVs and movesets before going into a raid. A well-prepared team makes a huge difference. Secondly, don't be afraid to use your Stardust and Candy to power up your best counters; it's an investment! Thirdly, make sure you're using your Mega Evolutions strategically. Having a Mega Pokémon active that boosts the damage of your team's types can significantly increase your group's overall damage output, helping you beat the raid faster and potentially granting you more Premier Balls. Fourthly, if you're like me and prefer remote raiding, make sure you have enough remote raid passes and try to coordinate with friends. This way, you can easily gather a strong team, no matter where you are. Finally, during the catch phase, always use a Golden Razz Berry and aim for excellent throws to grant yourself the highest catch rate for these valuable Pokémon. Happy raiding, everyone!
