Okay, fellow Weeknd fans, let's talk concert glam! If you're anything like me, you don't just want to go to the concert, you want to embody the vibe. And for The Weeknd, that means tapping into that iconic 'After Hours' aesthetic. It's all about a blend of sultry, mysterious, and effortlessly cool. I’ve been experimenting with my makeup kit to perfect my 'The Weeknd makeup' look, and I'm so excited to share how you can recreate it for your upcoming show! First things first, the eyes are absolutely key for an 'After Hours makeup' look. You want something bold and captivating, just like Abel's music. My go-to is usually a smoked-out liner or a dramatic wing. For this, my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil is an absolute non-negotiable. It truly glides on, making it super easy to create a sharp line or smudge it out for a softer, smoky effect. And because it's waterproof, I know it'll last through all the singing and dancing! Then for eyeshadow, the COLOURPOP 'Fade into Hue' palette is a dream. While the original look might lean darker, that bright blue emoji in the original title made me think of adding a subtle pop of color inspired by some of his visuals. You could use a deep sapphire from this palette to smoke out the lower lash line, or even a shimmery silver on the inner corner to catch the stage lights. For a classic 'After Hours' feel, stick to deep browns, blacks, and silvers. I love to layer a dark matte shade in the crease and outer V, then press a shimmery metallic shade onto the lid for that reflective, almost futuristic glow. Next, a flawless base is crucial. You want your skin to look smooth and ready for those concert lights! My Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is perfect for brightening under-eyes and covering any imperfections without feeling heavy. You'll be moving a lot, so a lightweight but effective concealer is key. After that, contour and bronzing are your best friends to define your face. I swear by my NYX Buttermelt Bronzer and the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer. I like to use the NYX one to warm up my complexion and then lightly sculpt with the Rimmel one under my cheekbones and along my jawline. It gives you that chiseled, edgy look without being too harsh – perfect for emulating that subtle intensity in The Weeknd's aesthetic. For lips, I'm leaning towards a nude-ish gloss or a deep berry stain – nothing too high-maintenance, because who wants to worry about lipstick smudging when you're belting out 'Blinding Lights'? My final tip for any 'The Weeknd makeup' concert look: setting spray is your best friend! A good setting spray will lock everything in place, ensuring your masterpiece lasts from the opening act until the very last encore. You'll be glowing and feeling confident, ready to soak in every moment of the show. Can't wait to see your concert looks!
