From my own experience, happiness often feels just out of reach because we're too focused on what we don't have. However, shifting attention to awareness transforms this perspective completely. Practicing gratitude isn’t about acquiring more things; it’s about recognizing and appreciating what we already possess. For example, many things we have—whether relationships, health, or small everyday comforts—were once the answers to our prayers. By becoming more aware, these blessings stop becoming invisible background noise and instead become vivid reasons for joy. Incorporating simple habits like daily gratitude journaling or mindful breathing can help cultivate this awareness. When you pause to reflect on your day, you notice moments of happiness that often go unnoticed—like the warmth of sunlight, the smile of a loved one, or even the peace in quiet moments.
