Sometimes we’re not actually waiting for clarity. We’re waiting for certainty.
We’re waiting to know that the decision will work:
💭That the dream will succeed.
🫶🏽That the relationship will last.
💰That the opportunity will pay off.
👌🏽That the effort will be worth it.
But life rarely gives us that guarantee…
Purpose isn’t certainty. It’s commitment.
And commitment says:
“I don’t know exactly how this will unfold, but I know this matters enough for me to take the next step.”

In my personal journey, I’ve often found myself caught in the trap of waiting for certainty before making important decisions. Whether it was starting a new project, committing to a relationship, or pursuing a career opportunity, the desire for guaranteed outcomes slowed me down significantly. What I’ve come to realize is that purpose acts very differently from certainty. Similarly, in relationships, committing to someone doesn’t guarantee a smooth journey, but it nurtures a sense of dedication that strengthens bonds over time. Instead of waiting for signs that everything will be perfect, choosing commitment creates deeper connections. The same applies to opportunities and efforts. Life rarely assures predictable outcomes, but commitment ensures that your energy is invested meaningfully. Taking that step forward despite uncertainty often opens unexpected doors and leads to fruitful experiences. Ultimately, embracing commitment over certainty transforms the way we live.
