Feel good during your period

Every month I dread the week I get my period. I feel nasty, in pain and uncomfortable. I have always had such a negative view of my period but over the years I have been changing my view of it. My periods are not going away anytime soon and it is a beautiful natural occurrence of my body. It is time to embrace your period and work with it.

1. For example I always get headaches during my period so now I prepare for it. I eat cherries, yes you read that right CHERRIES. They contain anti inflammatory compounds that have similar effects as aspirin or ibuprofen plus they are too good and serve as a nice treat too.

2. I also get bad cramps and honestly really dislike taking medication for it. Even though I am not against pain pills taking them makes me feel as if I am sick. I like to also do other things that help with cramps such as drinking chamomile tea. I love having tea at night during my period. I use it as a relaxing time and honesty look forward to it.

3. Celebrate your period. I celebrate my period every month by taking a solo trip to the beach. I love the beach, it is where I feel at most at peace. This little ritual makes a huge difference in how i view my period. I am excited to take this trip every month and has set a more positive view of my period.
