Sleep with peace

I have learned that having a night time routine is very important for me. Sleep is very crucial for your overall health. I love implementing some wellness habits every night to stay at ease and help me sleep as well help me prepare for the next day.

1. I enjoy having tea at night. I usually have it about an hour before I go to bed. Chamomile tea is my favorite to have. I feel so relaxed and stress free after having my tea time.

2. I am a person that loves to plan in advance and it brings me ease when I take time at night to write down a list of important intentions I have for the next day. I do not put pressure on myself to get everything done that I have listed but it helps more to know what my expectations are for the next day without pressure.

3. One of the last things Ilike to do once I have done my skincare is to relax and read a book. Reading a book gets me so sleepy which is great. On the days I do not have to wake up too early I enjoy watching a couple minutes of a show.

It's not just about winding down; it's about preparing your mind and body for true rest, especially as I embrace these 'Night time Wellness Habits'. My evening cup of chamomile tea isn't just a drink; it's a ritual. That warm mug in my hands, the gentle aroma – it signals to my body that it's time to slow down. I've found that this simple act helps me shed the day's stresses and truly relax, paving the way for easier sleep. It’s a moment of quiet contentment that I look forward to every night, helping me achieve that inner peace. And speaking of preparing, those few minutes I spend writing intentions for the next day? They're priceless. It's not about rigid to-do lists, but gently outlining my hopes and priorities. This clears my mind, preventing those anxious 'what-ifs' from swirling around when I should be drifting off. It's a key part of my nightly mental declutter, ensuring my mind is at ease before bed. Then there's the joy of reading. Swapping screen time for a physical book is my ultimate sleep hack. I get so engrossed in a story that my brain forgets about daily worries, and before I know it, my eyelids are heavy. It's a far more peaceful transition than scrolling through social media, and it truly helps ensure sleep requires peace. But beyond these, I've discovered a powerful addition to my routine that truly enhances the 'relaxation' aspect: simple deep breathing exercises. Just 5-10 minutes of focused breathing before I even pick up my book can make a world of difference. I lie in bed, close my eyes, and take slow, deep breaths, counting to four on the inhale, holding for seven, and exhaling for eight. This '4-7-8' technique calms my nervous system, melts away tension, and helps me achieve that profound sense of peace my body craves for sleep. It’s an incredible tool for turning off the day’s noise and embracing a deep breathing relaxation night routine. Another thing I've learned is to create a serene environment. Dimming the lights, maybe a calming essential oil diffuser – these small touches make a huge impact on setting the mood for a peaceful night. I also try to avoid heavy meals close to bedtime, opting for something light if I'm hungry. Remember, the goal isn't perfection, but consistency. Finding what truly helps you wind down and achieve that restorative sleep is what matters most. Embrace these 'Night time Wellness Habits' and watch your sleep transform!
