Start making these changes

Nothing changes unless you put in the work and start taking care of yourself. It is easy to desire our lives to be different yet the reality is that it will not change unless you shift your priorities and mindset. Here are some habits I have implemented in my life that might seem like basics but are necessary.

1. Do not wait long to fuel your body for the day. Breakfast is a very important meal of the day. It determines the nutrients you put in your body to start the day. (eat within 30-45 mins of waking)

2. You want to make sure you get your breakfast in before you shock your body with caffeine. Whether you like your coffee sweet or not it is important to have food fuel before caffeine fuel (wait an hour to 1.5 hours to have caffeine after waking up)

3. Making sure you have enough protein is very important. As we age we loose muscle mass and our bones get weaker. You want to make sure you’re getting in enough protein to build lean muscles, get your bones stronger, and help your metabolism.

Aim to eat within 30 to 45 minutes of waking to fuel your body effectively. Including a balance of proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats in your breakfast will provide sustained energy and support muscle growth as well as bone health. Waiting to have caffeine until after you've eaten can help your body acclimate better for the day ahead. As we grow older, maintaining muscle mass becomes crucial; therefore, integrating protein-rich foods such as eggs, yogurt, or smoothies can help counteract muscle loss and improve metabolism. Moreover, being mindful of your eating habits not only boosts physical health but also enhances mental clarity and focus throughout your day. Small changes can lead to significant progress, fostering a healthier lifestyle in both body and mind. Embrace these simple shifts in your routine to see meaningful improvements in your overall wellness.
