Change China color

I wanted to show you guys step-by-step on how I did the transfers. You’re gonna need ink jet waterslide decal paper, a China set either brought or made yourself , paint if the China has color on it , and water. Because my China had a blue design on it already. I painted it white while the paint was still wet. I cut the piece of the design that I wanted for the plate and placed it onto it and cut off any extra that was around it, I dripped a couple of drops of water. Keep the paper on until the paper slides off on its own. and then set it aside to dry it’s not gonna be perfect. It takes a couple of tries, but it doesn’t look too bad and I’m happy with my results. #dollhouse #miniature #diy #crafts #dollhousekitchen

Before applying the decal, it’s essential to ensure the surface is clean and free from any oils or dust that could prevent adhesion. I usually give the plate a gentle wipe with rubbing alcohol before painting it white, especially if the original design is dark or colorful. After painting, I learned that applying the waterslide decal while the paint is still somewhat tacky helps the decal stick better without bubbling or sliding out of place. Cutting the decal carefully and trimming any excess paper around the edges ensures a cleaner look once it’s dried. One tip I found helpful is to soak the waterslide decal paper in water just long enough for the paper to slide on easily but not so long that the design becomes fragile. I always gently slide the paper off, rather than forcing it, to avoid tearing the delicate design. Drying time is crucial — setting the piece aside for at least 24 hours allows the decal and paint to fully cure. After everything is dry, I sometimes seal the piece with a clear, food-safe acrylic spray to protect the design and give it a smooth finish. This technique doesn’t produce perfect results immediately and might take a couple of attempts to master, but it’s incredibly rewarding. It’s a wonderful way for hobbyists and crafters to personalize miniature dollhouse kitchens or refresh old China sets with unique, custom patterns that suit your style and décor.
