In everyday life, poor posture, awkward sleeping positions, or minor neck injuries can irritate these nerves. I've personally found that recommending simple adjustments such as elevating the head during sleep using extra pillows can reduce acid reflux symptoms by improving neck alignment and decreasing nerve irritation. More fascinatingly, treating the neck’s function—whether through chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy focused on the cervical spine, or mindful postural changes—has often led to noticeable improvement in both dizziness and acid reflux symptoms in patients I know. Recognizing the cervical spine as a 'control center' between brain and body helped clarify why some individuals experience simultaneous digestive and balance issues. Although the scientific research linking vagus nerve compression and acid reflux with dizziness is still emerging, these real-life insights suggest a beneficial direction.
