How can Chiropractic benefit from AI?
How can Chiropractic benefit from AI? It isn't about using it to create content or to automate processes in our practices. It’s by us being better, more credible sources of quality information, and the LLMs using that to recommend us, without paid ads or promos. The best way we can do this...publish more research (and not just about back and neck pain).
In my experience, the integration of AI into chiropractic care goes far beyond simply automating administrative tasks or generating content. One key benefit lies in how AI-powered large language models (LLMs) can leverage credible, high-quality chiropractic research to present trustworthy recommendations to patients without the need for paid advertisement. From what I have observed, patients increasingly turn to AI-driven tools like ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, or Gemini to seek health advice, sometimes even bypassing traditional search engines like Google. This shift is particularly noticeable among younger generations who use platforms like TikTok for their information needs. For chiropractors, this highlights the importance of establishing a strong foundation of credible, research-backed content online. Publishing extensive studies on chiropractic beyond just back and neck pain—perhaps looking at holistic health benefits, rehabilitation approaches, or integration with other therapies—can position chiropractic professionals as authoritative sources. This robust, diverse research portfolio empowers AI systems to recommend chiropractic care based on evidence, fostering greater patient trust and reducing skepticism around our profession. An important lesson I've found is that staying authentic and avoiding marketing hype or unsubstantiated claims is crucial. AI and its users value transparency and reliability. When chiropractors share real outcomes and peer-reviewed insights, AI models learn to highlight those providers naturally, making the information both accessible and trustworthy for patients. This evolution requires us to be proactive in publishing clinical findings, engaging with the broader healthcare community, and actively dispelling myths that label chiropractic as 'crazy.' By doing so, we can harness AI's power to elevate chiropractic as a respected, essential part of modern healthcare—no paid promos, just genuine, quality information leading the way.
