From the DJ booth to the morning show 🎀
I had the opportunity to be on News 9 this morning talking about something bigger than music — the VIPink campaign with Susan G. Komen.
We’re working to raise funds for breast cancer research, patient care, and local resources right here in Oklahoma. This one means something personal.
Grateful for the platform. Grateful for the purpose.
Watch the segment and support if you can 💗Griffin Media #Newsweek #okc #breastcancerawareness #community #helping
Being part of the VIPink campaign felt deeply personal to me since my mom is a breast cancer survivor. This experience really opened my eyes to how critical community support is in fighting this disease. The annual fundraiser, held from April 1st to May 1st, focuses on raising money for patient care and breast cancer research, helping to reduce mortality rates by nearly 44%, which is a significant achievement. I was moved to see how much impact awareness and funding can have on medical resources right in Oklahoma, where local support networks make a huge difference to patients and their families. Participating in the TV segment gave me a platform to encourage others to get involved. It’s not just about music anymore; it’s about using my voice to promote health and wellness causes that touch so many lives. If you’ve ever been affected by breast cancer or want to contribute to saving lives, donating to campaigns like VIPink can create real change. It’s inspiring to see how grassroots efforts, wellness events, and education come together to build a stronger, more informed community. I urge everyone to consider supporting these initiatives, whether through donations or spreading awareness, because together, we can help reduce breast cancer’s impact further. Every small effort counts and brings hope to those fighting the battle.
