Don’t go back…wait on God
Sorry…I know I haven’t posted in forever 😅 but please wait on God. His way and his will is such better than you can ever imagine. God has the full big picture. We have only a puzzle piece. So let God be God.

It's a feeling almost everyone understands – that deep, quiet ache of loneliness. It creeps in when you least expect it, whispering doubts and tempting you to gravitate back towards what's familiar, even if you know deep down it's not good for you. I've certainly been there, battling that powerful urge to revisit old friendships, past relationships, or even old habits that God clearly showed me were meant to be left behind. The quote, 'Don't let loneliness lead you back to people and things God already revealed and removed,' resonates so deeply because it speaks to a universal struggle. When God removes something or someone from your life, it's not arbitrary. It's an act of divine protection and preparation. He sees the full picture, while we often only see a tiny puzzle piece. That 'thing' or 'person' might have offered comfort, but perhaps it was also hindering your growth, dimming your light, or distracting you from the incredible path He has for you. It's incredibly hard to trust this when you're feeling vulnerable and isolated, but this is exactly when faith becomes your anchor. So, what can we do when that wave of loneliness threatens to pull us backward? First, acknowledge the feeling. Don't suppress it. It's okay to feel lonely. But then, actively choose to redirect your focus. Instead of dwelling on what's missing or what was lost, try to lean into the present and what God is building. I've found immense comfort in deepening my spiritual connection during these times. Spending extra time in prayer, reading scripture, or listening to uplifting worship music can truly shift your perspective and remind you of His unwavering presence. Secondly, intentionally fill your life with positive, healthier connections and activities. This doesn't mean jumping into new relationships blindly, but rather nurturing the good ones you have. Reach out to supportive friends or family who truly understand and uplift you. Get involved in a community or hobby that aligns with your values. Sometimes, just serving others can pull you out of your own head and remind you of the interconnectedness of life. It’s about building a new foundation, one that God is truly blessing. Thirdly, reflect on why God revealed and removed those 'people and things' in the first place. What lessons did you learn? What toxic patterns were broken? Remembering the 'why' can be a powerful deterrent from falling back into old traps. Write it down if you need to. Remind yourself of the peace, growth, or clarity you gained when those things were no longer part of your journey. It's a testament to God's wisdom and His desire for your ultimate well-being. Lastly, practice patience and self-compassion. Waiting on God isn't always easy or quick. There will be days when the temptation to revert is strong. On those days, be kind to yourself. Reaffirm your trust in His plan. Remind yourself that He never makes a mistake and His timing is always perfect. He is working behind the scenes, lining things up just for you. Don't let temporary loneliness trick you into settling for less than God's best. Keep moving forward in faith, knowing that He will guide you, get you through it, and work it all out for your good. You are never truly alone.
