Validation from God not Man
It's a journey many of us are on, isn't it? That constant yearning for approval, that little voice in our heads asking, 'Am I good enough?' For so long, I found myself chasing compliments, trying to fit into molds, and feeling deflated when I didn't measure up to others' expectations. It was exhausting, and honestly, it left me feeling more empty than full. That's when I truly started to understand what it means to stop looking for validation from man. The Bible offers such profound wisdom on this. It reminds us that our true worth isn't determined by fleeting human opinions or the ever-changing standards of society. We're often told to seek 'affirmation,' but there's a crucial difference between affirmation and validation from God. Affirmation can be a lovely encouragement from others, a pat on the back, but validation runs deeper. It's about knowing your intrinsic worth, your identity, and your purpose. And as the image text so beautifully puts it, it's God who created you to be the person you're meant to be. He doesn't just affirm you; He validates your very existence. Think about the phrase, 'you're seeking validation from a world that crucified a perfect man.' This powerful statement really hit home for me. It highlights the futility of relying on a world that rejected and condemned the most perfect being to ever walk the earth – Jesus Christ. If the world couldn't recognize His divine worth, how can we expect it to truly define ours? This isn't to say human connection isn't important, but our ultimate sense of self-worth should never be dependent on it. My journey taught me that my validation comes from God, and that's an unshakable truth. So, how do we practically live this out? For me, it started with daily time in His Word and prayer. I began asking, 'What does the Bible say about validation?' and I found countless verses that spoke about God's love, His plan, and His view of me. It's about shifting your perspective from 'What do they think?' to 'What does God say?' When you realize that God's validation is already yours through Christ, a profound peace settles in. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Your value isn't based on your achievements, your looks, or your popularity; it's based on the fact that you are His creation, loved unconditionally. Letting go of the need for human approval is a process, but it's incredibly liberating. It frees you to be authentic, to serve others without hidden agendas, and to pursue the calling God created you for, rather than chasing fleeting praise. Remember, you don't need man to validate you. Your Creator already has, and that validation is perfect, constant, and eternal. It’s a powerful realization that transforms how you see yourself and how you interact with the world.
