Low Carb Chopped Cheese = Game Day MVP 🏈 🏆

Here’s my twist on the famous NYC chopped cheese sandwich. I’ve made these low carb by using Hero low net carb Hawaiian rolls! These are perfect to put out for your game-day spread and you will be blown away at how good these are! How many of these could you eat?

1 pack of Hawaiian rolls (I used Hero brand but you can use regular Hawaiian rolls if you are not on a low carb diet)

2-3 tbsp butter

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 packet of Sazon seasoning

1/2 tsp adobo seasoning

4 slices American cheese

Mayonnaise

Ketchup

Sliced tomatoes

Shredded lettuce

Cut your Hawaiian rolls in half. In a pan over medium heat melt about a tbsp of butter and toast the cut sides of the rolls until they are golden. Do this for each side. Set aside.

Brown the ground beef over medium high heat and add the packet of Sazon and the adobo seasoning. Taste, and add more seasoning if needed. Use paper towel to soak up excess oil if needed. Add the chopped onions and sauté until the onions soften (about 2 minutes)

Add the American cheese and put a lid on the pan for one minute until the cheese is melted. Stir to combine into a creamy beef and cheese mixture.

Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on both sides of the toasted rolls.

Add beef and cheese mixture to the bottom half of the rolls.

Add tomato slices to cover the beef, followed by the shredded lettuce on top.

Carefully place the other side of the rolls on the top. Slice through to cut out the individual sliders.
