I always find baked lasagna such a rewarding dish to make, especially because it brings everyone together around the dinner table. The combination of ground pork with a tomato-rich Ragu pasta sauce creates a deeply flavorful meat sauce that pairs beautifully with the mild, creamy cottage cheese mixture seasoned with garlic, Italian herbs, and Parmesan cheese. One tip I learned is to boil the lasagna sheets just until al dente, so they hold up well during baking without becoming mushy. For assembling, layering the ingredients carefully ensures every slice has a perfect balance of pasta, sauce, and cheese. I love topping it with a generous blend of mozzarella and cheddar, which melts into a bubbly, golden crust after baking. Covering the lasagna with foil for the first 30 minutes keeps it moist, while removing the foil towards the end crisps the top nicely. This recipe is ideal not only for a comforting family dinner but also for meal prepping. Leftovers reheat wonderfully, making it a convenient go-to meal when you're busy. You can also customize the meat sauce by substituting ground pork with beef, turkey, or even plant-based alternatives without losing the hearty flavor. Overall, this easy baked lasagna recipe has become a staple in my kitchen. It’s approachable for cooks of any skill level and fills your home with the mouthwatering aroma of Italian comfort food. I recommend serving it with a simple green salad or garlic bread for a complete and satisfying meal. Don’t forget to experiment with your favorite herbs or add veggies like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition and taste!
