EASY RECIPE: Part 48
Air Fryer Buffalo Wild Wings
Ingredients
For the chicken:
Chicken wings
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Smoked paprika
Cajun seasoning
Parsley flakes (for color)
Cayenne powder
Salt
Black pepper
Olive oil
Baking powder
For the buffalo sauce:
Hot sauce (any brand you like)
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder
Vinegar
Butter
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken
Pat the chicken wings completely dry using paper towels. This step is important so the wings turn out crispy.
Place the wings in a bowl, then add:
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Smoked paprika
Cajun seasoning
Parsley flakes
Cayenne powder
Salt
Black pepper
Olive oil
Baking powder
Mix everything well until all the wings are fully coated.
2️⃣ Arrange in the Air Fryer
Arrange the wings on a tray. I use a tray with another rack tray on top so the oil from the chicken drips down and the wings cook evenly without getting soggy.
3️⃣ Cook the Wings
Air fry at 360°F for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, flip the wings and cook for another 15 minutes at the same temperature, or until fully cooked and crispy.
4️⃣ Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small pot over medium heat, add:
Hot sauce
Worcestershire sauce
Garlic powder
Vinegar
Butter
I don’t measure — I just eyeball everything, so adjust according to your taste. Stir until the butter melts and the sauce is smooth and slightly thick.
5️⃣ Toss & Serve
Once the wings are done, toss them in the buffalo sauce until fully coated. Serve hot and enjoy! 🔥🍗 Follow for more🫶 #buffalo #buffalowings #chickenwings #airfryer #homerecipe
Preparing crispy wings in an air fryer is genuinely a game-changer for homemade buffalo wings lovers. Having tried traditional deep-frying methods, I find air frying to be healthier and much less messy, while still producing the signature crispiness. A crucial step I always follow, as noted in this recipe, is thoroughly patting the chicken wings dry before seasoning. This ensures the baking powder can do its magic in creating that irresistible crunch. For seasoning, I love the blend of smoked paprika, cajun seasoning, and cayenne powder since it adds smoky heat and complex layers of flavor. One tip when air frying wings is to arrange them in a single layer on a rack if you have one, just like in the recipe. This allows hot air to circulate all around the wings, preventing sogginess. Flipping halfway through cooking also helps achieve even crispiness on both sides. I usually keep a close eye and make minor adjustments to cooking time depending on wing size and my specific air fryer model. The homemade buffalo sauce combines buttery richness and tangy heat, which is so much better than bottled sauces in my opinion. I add Worcestershire sauce for an umami depth, and sometimes a splash more vinegar if I want extra tang. The no-measure eyeball method is great if you like customizing heat levels and sauce consistency. For those who prefer a milder wing, reducing cayenne and hot sauce quantities works well without losing flavor. Serving these wings immediately while hot and tossing thoroughly with sauce makes a big difference in taste. They pair wonderfully with celery sticks and a side of blue cheese or ranch dipping sauce for that authentic buffalo wing experience at home. This recipe is perfect for game days or casual gatherings when you want a delicious, fuss-free appetizer that everyone will love.
