On January 9th, we welcomed our little earth angel into this world. I had been praying every day from the moment I found out I was pregnant until the moment my baby boy was born. My prayer was for God to allow my body to do what it was created to do and have a successful vaginal birth after two cesarean. God granted my prayer and allowed for so much more. I have never felt more motherly in my life. My love for you, my dear son Kole A., is immeasurable. You are my little miracle, and I am so grateful to God for allowing me to keep you. 🤎
Becoming a mother is a transformative experience filled with joy, challenges, and immense love. Many mothers, like myself, embark on the journey of motherhood with their own set of hopes and prayers. In my case, the dream of having a successful vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) was paramount. VBAC can be a path to achieving the birthing experience many women desire, particularly after facing the challenges of previous cesarean deliveries. It’s crucial to have a supportive medical team, as well as knowledge of the risks and benefits, in order to make informed decisions about your birth plan. For new and expecting mothers, the emotional bond with their child, expressed through acts of love and nurturing, creates a profound sense of purpose. Remember, the journey doesn't end with childbirth; each day presents a new opportunity to foster that bond through activities like breastfeeding, gentle talking, and skin-to-skin contact. As you navigate motherhood, don’t hesitate to seek support from fellow moms, either through organized groups or online communities. Such connections can provide encouragement, share experiences, and validate your feelings. Embrace the unique journey of motherhood, as each moment spent nurturing your little miracle is a precious gift.
