Digging a little deeper
But the knowledge and practice of the requisites for godly and upright living which comes from heaven, firstly contains no flaw or error, then it’s peaceful in having no conflict, it’s gentle in fairness, easy to obey, full of compassion toward men and gives good ground for men to bear good fruit (deeds that grow the kingdom of God), is unwavering without deceit and is without hypocrisy.
Digging deeper
As believers, we live our life differently from the world. We live by faith in our beliefs of Christianity, not by what we see around us. Our faith is the starting point for walking a life with Jesus. Our faith/trust in him outweighs anything our human senses tell us. But we have the added assurance that we can live our faith with wisdom that does not come from a flawed world, but a perfect God. This wisdom he imparts in us gives us the knowledge that helps us live a Godly life, putting his ways and will into action in us.
This wisdom we are living in by faith is God’s wisdom, coming straight from him seated in heaven to us here on earth. There is no middle man or spirit between us that can twist or corrupt it. This wisdom also bears fruit just like we bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit who is living in us (love, peace, gentleness, self control, etc,) which comes out of us. God’s fruit of wisdom is that which comes out of him. This fruit is consistent with who he is, his love, his peace, his mercy.
First, his wisdom is absent of any sin. It is 100% pure of anything that is contrary to his character and nature. We can put our whole faith into the fact that it has no flaws and is never wrong when we walk in it. So if anything you “feel” you should be doing, any “wisdom” that you think may have came from him, has just one iota of anything contrary to him, then you know with assurance it’s not God’s wisdom.
Next, it is kind and peaceful to us. His wisdom is not one of harshness where it will pound on our minds and in our souls. It will not make us feel unworthy as his child or as one who is inherently disobedient or make us feel like we will never get anything right as a Christian . It is gentle in its guidance, like the good Father he is, taking our hand and guiding us as we live out our faith. There is no reason we will ever feel conflicted in it at all.
His wisdom is fair. He doesn’t play favorites in his family. It is the same wisdom given to every believer. He doesn’t hold back from one and give to another. It is always constant. Everyone can walk in obedience to it, you don’t need any extra super knowledge that you think someone else has.
His wisdom is compassionate towards us. He knows we are not a perfect creation due to the sinful nature born within us. It’s not a one and done. He doesn’t give it to us and if we blow it, take it away. His wisdom is not conditional based on the way we act and live. The word tells us his mercies are new everyday, great is his faithfulness to us (Lamentations 3:23).
And his wisdom sets the foundation for us to work on. We can build, plant and toil on his wisdom which is good soil. There is no deceit or hypocrisy on this foundation. It is the total opposite of man’s wisdom which is full of both because man’s first priority is himself. And in man’s wisdom, he will do anything he can to live a life that is easy, pleasing and full of “a false sense of” security where he gets to make all his decisions. Instead, God’s wisdom is to further his kingdom, which is what he has asked us to do. It’s to help others, love others and be used to produce goodness in everything we do so man can see the light of Jesus shine in us and our lives. So, we must strive daily to seek his wisdom, crucify our wisdom and walk life in our faith in Him.#god #wisdom #inspiration #christian #christianlifestyle
