My Early Morning “Phone Call With God” Routine ☕️📖✨

“Scripture Writing Morning Routine ☕️📖”

🌅 My Cozy Morning Routine With God

Every morning before the day gets loud, I sit down with my Bible, my planner, and the strongest cup of coffee known to man.

This is my daily phone call with Dad — and it sets the tone for my whole day.

📝 Step 1: Coffee + Quiet

I sit down, take a breath, and get still.

This is my reset button for the day.

📖 Step 2: Pick the Verse of the Day

Each day in my planner has a scripture.

That’s the verse I write — slowly and with intention.

And no, God is not grading my handwriting.

If He was, I’d be in handwriting rehab permanently. 😂

🖊️ Step 3: Write It Out

As I write, the Holy Spirit highlights words or phrases.

If something jumps out at me like

“Hey girl, pay attention,”

I make it big, swirly, curly…

Whatever helps it sink in.

✨ Step 4: Stickers (because yes, I’m extra)

I love stickers.

I cannot draw a stick figure to save my life —

but I CAN decorate my pages and make my time with God feel special.

💛 Why I Do This

These 10–15 minutes steady my spirit.

If I skip them?

Whew… my day will derail faster than my planner can save me. 😅

This phone call is NOT going to voicemail.

The practice of scripture writing is more than just a habit; it’s a way to immerse yourself in God's Word and let it resonate deeply as you write each verse slowly and thoughtfully. Incorporating coffee serves not just as a physical wake-up, but as a comforting ritual that grounds your spirit before the busyness of the day begins. Taking a moment of quiet before the writing allows you to reset your mind and welcome peace, essential for a meaningful devotional time. The intentional act of writing out verses stimulates memorization and reflection, letting you engage with scripture on a personal level. Highlighting meaningful words or phrases with swirls and doodles adds a creative, tactile dimension that helps reinforce the message. Even the use of stickers and decorations isn’t just for fun—it personalizes your devotional, making your time with God feel cherished and special. Importantly, this routine isn’t about perfection (no need to worry about neat handwriting!) but about genuine connection and presence. The consistency of spending this time daily cultivates spiritual steadiness that supports you through challenges and distractions. In fact, skipping this ‘‘phone call with God’’ can leave your day feeling off balance, highlighting the value of maintaining this simple yet powerful morning habit. Such routines not only foster spiritual growth but also serve as mindful practices that center your thoughts and intentions. For those exploring faith-based morning routines, combining scripture writing with quiet and caffeine might be a meaningful way to start the day. This approach can be adapted to fit individual preferences, whether that means reading longer passages, journaling prayers, or adding moments of gratitude. Ultimately, dedicating just a bit of time each morning to steady your spirit and focus on God’s Word creates a ripple effect, influencing your attitude, decisions, and interactions throughout the day. Embracing rituals like these invites a deeper, more joyful walk with faith. The keyword "thankfu" resonates here—embracing thankfulness as you savor these moments amplifies the gratitude and connection cultivated in this routine.
