Quick Thrift Haul
After a tough day at work I rewarded myself with a quick thrift stop and let me tell ya I’m so glad I went! The cutest shoes? Fun pants? Patterned shirts? I spent $48 and came out way happier than when I went in 🤣 (Not shown in the purchase was two pairs of pants for my daughter).
Thrifting has become one of my favorite ways to refresh my wardrobe without breaking the bank. On this particular trip, I was on the hunt for some summer-appropriate clothes and was thrilled to find a pair of lavender wide-leg pants priced at just $6.99 and a fun gingham button-up shirt for layering. These pieces not only add a pop of color and pattern to my outfits but are also versatile for different occasions. What makes thrifting even better is the thrill of the hunt—sometimes you stumble upon hidden gems like a sheer summer shirt or stylish shoes for under $10. Besides saving money, shopping at stores like Goodwill helps reduce waste and supports community programs, making it a win-win. For anyone considering thrift shopping, I recommend going with a list of what you need but keeping an open mind for unexpected finds. Don’t forget to check for quality and fit, and be prepared to experiment with styling your new pieces creatively. Last but not least, remember that some of the best purchases, like my $5.49 gingham shirt, can become summer wardrobe staples because of their unique flair and comfort.
