Due dates and birth dates are critical aspects of pregnancy, often determining expectant mothers' plans and health care. A due date is typically calculated as 40 weeks from the last menstrual period, signaling the anticipated arrival of the baby. However, situations such as health emergencies or complications can result in early births, leading to premature infants who may need specialized care. In my case, my baby had to come out sooner due to a surgery that was crucial for my health and well-being. Early delivery can stem from various factors like maternal health concerns, preeclampsia, or fetal distress. It’s important for expecting mothers to have discussions with their healthcare providers about what to expect and how to prepare for any changes in the delivery timeline. Many mothers share their unique stories of early births, each adding to the understanding of this complex aspect of motherhood. I invite other moms to share their experiences of early arrivals in the #FTM community, discussing the emotions and adjustments they faced.
