Electives in medical school!
By the time you are choosing your electives for M4 year, you probably have a very good idea of what specialty you’re going into! As someone going into psychiatry, I decided to do multiple psych electives on different services so I could be set up for success as an incoming intern! Another thing to keep in mind when scheduling your electives is to schedule electives/sub-Is during a period when you’re not going to be missing too many days for interviews! For example, I scheduled my online elective during late October and November because I had the most flexibility at that time!
