Though residency comes with its own set of challenges, I can confidently say that residency is much better than medical school for a variety of different reasons. Though the stakes and hours in the hospital are much in residency, compared to medical school, as a resident you are becoming more confident in your medical decision making, feel like you’re actually part of the team, and you are honing your skills and expanding your knowledge in the field that is actually of interest to you (while also getting paid).
Med school is hard, but don’t fret, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
