Cozy Bedtime Routine 🌕🧸

Good night friends.

I had a busy day today, running around doing lots of errands and what not. I’m excited to get cozy and read a book. I need some rest before tomorrow. I’ll have to spend my saturday doing homework, scheduling classes, and LSAT prep. It’s homecoming week so everyone is out partying.

I get FOMO, I won’t lie. But I also know that what I am doing right now, my future self will thank me. It is all about balance, and I know for a fact i’ll be going out to have fun with my friends for Halloweekend. I rarely go out to party anyways! I’m staying focused now, and I’ll have some fun very soon.

Anyways, how is school going for everyone else? I have a lot to study for this weekend as well. I have two midterms next week (wednesday and thursday). I already made my own study guide for thursdays exam. I’m afraid for my wednesday midterm tho. It’s a blue book exam. The last exam for that class I got 112% on (idek that was possible tbh) so I want to believe I will be okay, but I seem to understand the content a little less. There are a lot more readings this time around. And the professor is pretty fed up that not many people are actually reading the readings (I am sometimes guilty).

I’ll treat myself to non-academic reading tonight. Balance is key, balance is key.

Goodnight friends 🌕🧡

... Read moreLet's be real, after a super busy day, especially with university life, errands, and looming midterms, finding that moment of peace before bed is absolutely essential. I've realized that having a truly cozy bedtime routine isn't just about unwinding; it's about setting myself up for success the next day, both mentally and physically. It's my personal cozy evening ritual that helps me combat stress and ensure a good night's sleep. My routine usually kicks off with a warm, relaxing shower. I love using my favorite shower gels and a foamy washcloth – it feels so indulgent. Sometimes, I even hang some eucalyptus in the shower; the steam infused with its scent is just pure bliss. After feeling refreshed, it's straight to oral care with my blue toothbrush and trusty white toothpaste. This simple act signifies the start of my wind-down. Next up is my cozy skincare night routine. This isn't just about looking good; it's a mindful moment for myself. I start with a gentle cleansing oil to melt away the day's grime, followed by a purifying foaming cleanser. Then comes my facial moisturizing lotion, and finally, a rich cream from a tube to really lock in hydration. Taking these few minutes to nourish my skin feels like a hug for my face. Once I’m out of the bathroom, it’s all about getting comfortable. I slip into my soft white floral pajama set – it instantly makes me feel cozy and ready for bed. I make sure to take off all my jewelry, placing my gold necklace carefully in its box. Then, it's time for some luxurious body care. I apply my favorite body lotion from the large pump bottles and often use a smaller tub for extra dry spots. This full-body moisturizing always leaves me feeling pampered and ready for deep rest. The final stage of my night routine cozy bedroom ritual is all about mental relaxation. I head over to my cozy bed, which I always make sure has decorative pillows and a chunky knit blue blanket – it just looks so inviting! I grab my current fantasy novel for some non-academic reading, along with my small container of lip mask, a rollerball perfume for a subtle scent, and a fragrance mist to lightly spritz the air. Losing myself in a good book helps me switch off from all the academic pressure and stop dwelling on LSAT prep or upcoming exams. It's a key part of my sleep hygiene cozy bedroom night routine, ensuring my mind calms down before sleep. This entire self-care sequence helps me acknowledge the busy day I’ve had and consciously transition into a state of rest. It's all about balance, knowing that while I have to work hard, I also need to prioritize my well-being. My cozy bedtime isn't just a routine; it's an investment in my future self, ensuring I wake up refreshed and ready to tackle whatever tomorrow brings.
