skin care

These are my skin care products, I was recommended Cerave from a dermatologist a few years ago. It does help, except for my really bad hormonal acne. I get it around my lower cheeks and side chin area, I am still looking for something to help because when my period starts, that acne HURTS! I have some cysts around my upper cheek area, and the SA cream for rough and bumpy skin has helped, but it's still here.

I use Flamingo razors and Cremo shaving cream. I have rashes after I am done because my skin I so sensitive. I have to put lotion on before my deodorant because the deodorant will burn.

... Read moreIt sounds like you've been on quite the skincare journey, and I totally relate to the frustration of finding what truly works, especially with stubborn issues like hormonal acne and sensitive skin! Your experience with CeraVe really resonates – it’s a dermatologist-recommended staple for so many, and for good reason, thanks to ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid that support the skin barrier. You mentioned the CeraVe SA Cream for Rough & Bumpy Skin has helped with your cysts, which is fantastic! The salicylic acid in products like the CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser is excellent for gently exfoliating and targeting those bumps. For overall hydration and maintaining that crucial skin barrier, the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, especially the large tub packaging you have, is a lifesaver. It’s no wonder dermatologists frequently recommend it! And don't forget the importance of daily sun protection, which products like the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 offer. For nighttime, the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion provides lightweight hydration without clogging pores. Regarding hormonal acne, it's a beast, isn't it? That painful acne around the lower cheeks and side chin can be incredibly challenging. While CeraVe can help support your skin, hormonal acne often requires a more targeted approach, sometimes even from a dermatologist. They might recommend specific topicals like retinoids, or discuss internal options if it's severe. Beyond products, I've found managing stress, a balanced diet (some people find reducing dairy or sugar helps), and ensuring my pillowcases are clean can make a subtle difference. It’s definitely a long game, but don't lose hope! Your sensitive skin struggles with shaving also caught my eye. Getting rashes even with Flamingo razors and Cremo shaving cream is tough! I've been there. For super sensitive skin, try shaving with the grain first, not against it, to minimize irritation. Ensure you're always using a fresh blade from your Flamingo 8 Five-blade Cartridges for the cleanest cut. The Cremo Moisturizing Formula Concentrated Shave Cream is a good choice, but sometimes technique makes a huge difference. After shaving, a soothing toner like the Thayers Facial Toner Witch Hazel Coconut Water can help calm the skin, followed by a thick, fragrance-free moisturizer. And you're spot on about applying lotion before deodorant – that burning sensation is no fun and usually means your skin barrier needs that extra protection. For general body hydration, while the Bath & Body Works Winterberry Wonder Body Cream smells amazing, for really sensitive areas, sticking to a very plain, gentle cream like the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream can be a game-changer. Keep experimenting, you'll find your perfect routine!
