Dresses I said no to and why👰🏼‍♀️💍

... Read moreChoosing the perfect wedding dress is often a journey full of trial and error, and my experience was no different. Although many dresses caught my eye with stunning details like intricate beading, lace, and beautiful pearl embellishments, there were specific features that made me decide they weren't 'the one.' For instance, I realized that attached sleeves were a must-have for me, so even when a dress was incredibly pretty, if it lacked sleeves or had a plunging mesh neckline that didn’t feel right, I had to say no. Fit and flare dresses, while flattering on many brides, didn’t suit my body type or personal style, even if the fabric and decorations were exquisite. This process taught me the importance of knowing your own preferences clearly before heading out dress shopping. It's perfectly fine to love parts of a dress but recognize it’s not the full package for you. I learned to pay attention not only to how the dress looked but how it made me feel—comfort and confidence were key. Also, understanding trends like mesh panels or deep plunges helped me refine what worked for me and what felt uncomfortable or out of character. If you’re on the hunt for your wedding gown, my biggest tip is to try on a variety of styles and honor your instincts about what fits your unique vision and comfort level. Sometimes the right dress reveals itself only after saying no to several others. I’m so excited to share my dream dress soon and hope my experience encourages others to be patient and true to themselves during this special time.
