💕RECIPE💕
2 cups dried organic elderberries
4 cups of water (distilled, spring or purified works best)
3 tablespoons organic dried ginger root
I organic cinnamon stick
I cup local raw honey (you can use organic maple syrup or agave); double the amount of sweetener to increase shelf life. I like personally like to use honey but it's great with maple syrup too!
Use glass or ceramic pot for decoction
1. Combine water, berries and herbs.
Use cold or room temp water.
2. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and have the decoction simmer for 20-30 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and let it steep for an additional hour.
4. Use nut bag or cheesecloth to strain berries and herbs.
5. Squeeze and wring out liquid.
6. Once liquid has cooled to just above room temp, add honey stir until combined.
7. Bottle in sterilized glass and store in the fridge for up to 3 months!
