Kuu Kuu Harajuku is a franchise created by Gwen Stefani, an American fashion singer and designer, who is passionate and inspired by the Harajuku culture of Japan.
The animated series first aired in 2015 in Australia, before entering the Nickelodeon USA channel in 2016.
Storytelling the adventures of girl group HJ5, namely G, Love, Angel, Music and Baby, in a fantasy Harajuku world driven by fashion, creativity and the expression of each person's identity.
The series ran for 3 seasons and aired until the end of 2018.
Building on the success of the animation, Mattel acquired the copyright to produce the doll in 2017.
The fashion doll is about 10 inches with 11-point joint, bright design focus, Harajuku style clothes.
There are also mini mini models and extra clothing sets in different ways to collect and mix and match.
However, despite the doll's praise for its quality and design, with limited marketing and high competition, the line was terminated in just 1-2 years.
