Deluxe “Junk” Case

♥️ the cherub is just a plastic Christmas ornament I have packs of but fits my hand like an open pop socket

🩵 I did not use resin, I prefer diamond glaze for its clear hold and it’s not toxic/no odor or skin allergies to worry about

♥️ some of the gems were so small they were the tiniest ones you can get for nail art, and I tried to fill up as many empty spots as I could

🩵 the base case is a recycled one that was pink, but pretty useless…I covered the top in textured blue contact paper so there’s still some flexibility in taking the case off and on and nothing has popped off so far!

One key product, diamond glaze, offers a clear, non-toxic, and low-odor adhesive alternative to resin, ideal for sensitive skin and allergy concerns. This glaze ensures a strong hold for embellishments like tiny nail art gems—the smallest available—to fill gaps and add sparkle. Incorporating unconventional elements such as plastic cherubs, originally Christmas ornaments, introduces a whimsical and personal touch. These can serve as functional components similar to pop sockets, enhancing grip comfort and visual appeal. Covering old phone cases with textured contact paper, such as blue designs, not only refreshes the look but also maintains case flexibility and ease of use. Safety and product choice are crucial in DIY crafts involving skin contact. Diamond glaze’s non-toxic properties make it suitable for prolonged use. Additionally, recycling phone cases reduces waste and the need for new raw materials, aligning with eco-friendly crafting practices. Hashtags like #junkphonecases, #DIY, #angelbaby, #rosary, and #whimsigoth reflect popular aesthetic and thematic styles in alternative fashion and lifestyle communities, promoting wider engagement with uniquely crafted items. These keywords can help creators reach interested audiences seeking gothic, whimsical, or angelic design inspirations. Overall, transforming basic or discarded phone cases into deluxe accessories requires patience, attention to detail, and the right materials. This craft combines artistic expression with practical reuse, offering a rewarding project for crafters interested in personalized tech accessories.
