3D Star Ornaments ✨🩷✨

DIY Ornaments Part 2: we made some gorgeous

3D stars just by using fancy oragami paper (but you can use whatever paper you like so long as you can get a sharp crease in there) and some strategic folding. I made these for my mini 90s celestial tree but honestly these could work on any of my trees from the little women theme to the midcentury tree that's coming up, just with some slight changes in paper and beads. You could add glitter to the fold lines, use tinsel pipe cleaner on the outer edges, use music or book paper for the stars...endless possibilities. Go nuts! And let me know if you give it a try!

Using origami or any paper that allows for sharp creases helps achieve crisp folds that bring the star’s shape to life. These stars can be adapted for various themes and occasions—by switching the paper patterns and adding embellishments, you can match any decor style, whether it’s a nostalgic 90s celestial tree, a vintage mid-century modern look, or a literary-inspired display with book paper. For an extra sparkle, consider applying glitter along the fold lines to highlight the geometric shapes. Wrapping tinsel pipe cleaners around the edges adds texture and shimmer, giving the ornaments a festive glow. You can also experiment with music sheet paper or colorful scrapbook sheets to customize the stars for birthdays, weddings, or seasonal celebrations. These ornaments are not only attractive but also budget-friendly and eco-conscious, especially if you use recycled or scrap papers.
