Turn Old Planner Into Journal

I've found that turning my monthly planner into journaling spreads not only saves resources but also gives me a personalized space to reflect on my days and track important moments. One idea I've really enjoyed is creating themed pages within the planner. For example, alongside the usual monthly views, I add reflection prompts at the end of each month. This helps me pause and think about what I accomplished, what challenges I faced, and what I'm grateful for—turning a functional planner into a meaningful personal log. Additionally, incorporating special pages like birthday spreads has added a celebratory touch. These pages help me remember important dates and also provide room to note memories or wishes related to that day. Over time, these personalized spreads make the journal feel like a treasure trove of moments. If you're starting this project, consider decorating pages with doodles, stickers, or washi tapes to reflect your personality. Even simple highlights like color-coding or adding motivational quotes can enhance the look and feel of your journal. Lastly, don't hesitate to experiment. Using an old monthly planner gives you a structured framework but leaves plenty of room to customize. Whether you're planning to use it as a bullet journal, art journal, or memory keeper, repurposing your planner gives it a new life and turns it into a creative outlet that grows with you.
