Starting A New Journal Part 2
Hey Peeps,
💛This is Part 2 of me starting a new journal. Here are the intro motivation and intention pages.
💛 I’m showing you how I start a new journal. I always start with an intro page to set my mood for the journal. 2026 I’m moving with intention, being more intentional with my daily habits and monthly goals and I’m doing well so far this month of January.
📝 Happy Journaling

Starting a new journal can truly transform your approach to daily life and personal growth. From my experience, the power of journaling lies not just in writing down tasks or memories but in setting clear intentions and motivations right at the beginning. I like to start with an intro page, as mentioned, that outlines my purpose—whether it's to foster mindfulness, track habits, or capture ideas. This introductory mindset helps me stay aligned with my goals throughout the year. What's especially effective is linking your journal’s start to a meaningful concept, such as movement—which, based on the image text, emphasizes the idea of progress and change. Movement isn’t just physical; it symbolizes evolving mindsets and continuous self-improvement. By defining what 'movement' means to you, whether in emotional growth, career steps, or personal health, your journal becomes a roadmap for change. In addition, breaking your journal into monthly and daily segments ensures your intentions remain actionable. For example, in January, I focused on mindful habits and reflecting on how each day’s actions build toward larger goals. Using motivational quotes or synonyms related to movement—like 'carriage' or 'bearing'—can also enhance the inspirational aspect of your pages. Remember, the journal is a flexible tool. Don’t hesitate to customize spreads with colors, drawings, or stickers to make it personally engaging. This tactile connection encourages regular use and deeper involvement. Ultimately, starting with intention sets the tone for consistency and meaningful progress. If you’re new to journaling, try dedicating time to create an intro page where you define your purpose, then update it as your goals evolve. Journaling is a journey, not a destination, and each page reflects your commitment to growth and self-discovery.
