Okay guys, I have been seeing a lot of things going around regarding Bridgerton part 2 and honestly I don’t blame you guys.

This season left a lot to be desired, if you’re a book girly you know this season what the development of Colin and him realizing that Pen was always the one. While trying to figure out why no-one else saw what he saw, a beautiful and intelligent woman. Meanwhile, Pen was discovering the light and was content with her plans for the future, no longer wanting to live by society norms because she was in tune with who she is.

This season felt like everyone season but Colin and Pen. To me they got no character development, too many things happen off the screen and I’m sorry but why were we seeing so much of Benedict? He was barely even mentioned in Colin’s book and the only time he was it was to express to Penn that he didn’t feel enough for her and he was jealous of his brothers success because they all have something and he doesn’t. This conversation is what leads him to work on his manuscripts, to Pen being his editor, to them truly becoming a team.

Side note, the book has more steam than this season. And it was giving that the only reason why have a plus size actress is because she was written this way. I’ve also seen interviews with the director but in her interview she made it more about herself and why she embodied soo many stories and made Pen whimsical when in reality we wanted sexy, empowered, all consuming devotion which we have seen from season 1. How did we go from I burn for you to; will you marry me or not? Like what???? Excuse me? Sigh… Anyways, what are your thoughts?
