Aldi weekly groceries for 2 under $75

Aldi grocery haul this week! I was able to get 12 meals for 2 people, 6 lunches and 6 dinners, with only 29 items for less than $75! Our budget is tight right now, so it is really important to me that I keep our grocery bill under $100 each week. I also have some snacks and light breakfast. My husband and I usually don’t eat breakfast, but sometimes we do.

Here is the meal plan I’m using. This is assuming you have staple pantry items and spices at home already). The only thing I didn’t buy that I will be using this week is ranch and heavy cream, but I already had those at home. Adding those would make your grocery bill about $8 more :)

I’ll be posting recipes this week as I make them! Let me know if you’ll be trying any of these!

... Read moreIt's amazing how much insight you can gain from a simple grocery receipt, especially when you're on a tight budget like mine! When I first started trying to keep our weekly grocery bill for two under $100, I found myself just looking at the total. But my Aldi receipts quickly became my secret weapon for staying on track, like my recent $73.38 haul for 29 items that covered so many meals! Beyond just showing the final amount, your Aldi receipt is a fantastic tool for smarter grocery shopping and meal planning. Here's how I've learned to really make the most of it: First, don't just glance at the total. Take a moment to scan the itemized list. This helps you remember exactly what you bought and, more importantly, why you bought it. Sometimes I'll get home and forget why I picked up a specific ingredient, but seeing it on the receipt helps me link it back to a meal idea. It’s also great for ensuring you weren't overcharged or that every discount applied correctly. Next, pay attention to the price per item. Aldi is known for its incredible value, but prices can fluctuate. By keeping an eye on individual item prices on your receipts over time, you can spot trends. Did those chicken breasts cost more this week? Was the produce a better deal than last time? This intel empowers you to adjust your meal plan next week. Maybe you'll swap chicken for a cheaper protein if the price jumped, or stock up on a bargain item. The quantity of items listed is also key. My recent haul included 29 items, which felt like a lot for under $75! Reviewing this helps me understand if I bought too much of something perishable, leading to waste, or if I underestimated how much we'd need for certain meals. It’s a learning curve! For example, if you find you consistently have leftover produce, you might adjust your purchases next time to focus on versatile items or smaller quantities. And of course, the total is where the rubber meets the road. Seeing that $73.38 on my receipt for my weekly groceries for 2 validated all my planning and smart shopping. It's proof that sticking to a budget for two people is absolutely doable at Aldi. I often take a photo of my receipt and keep it in a budget app so I can easily track my spending throughout the month. This helps me visualize where my money is going and ensure I'm staying within my overall financial goals. Finally, connect your receipt directly to your meal plan for two people. After you've unpacked your groceries, lay out your receipt alongside your planned meals. Were there any ingredients you missed? Did you buy too much of something you only needed a little of? This post-shop review is where the real optimization happens. It teaches you to be more precise with your shopping list and makes your future Aldi trips even more efficient and budget-friendly. It’s all about learning from each shop to improve the next, striving to achieve that fantastic "ALDI WEEKLY GROCERIES FOR 2 UNDER $75" goal every time!
