Hey everyone! So, as you might know, I’m super excited to embark on a new fitness journey, combining an abs challenge with a squat challenge. It’s all about pushing myself and seeing what my body can really do! I’ve been getting a lot of questions and thinking about how to really make the most of these challenges, especially when it comes to getting the most out of every rep. Mastering the Squat: My Journey to Proper Form & Crushing the 30-Day Challenge When I started looking into the 30-day squat challenge, the first thing that came to mind was 'how to squat properly.' It's not just about going up and down; good form is everything to prevent injuries and truly target those glutes and quads. I've learned a few things working on my squats that I'd love to share. First, always imagine you're sitting back into a chair – this helps keep your chest up and prevents your knees from going too far forward. Engaging your core throughout the movement is also a game-changer; it helps stabilize your spine. I try to go deep enough so my hips are parallel with my knees, but always listening to my body. A common mistake I used to make was letting my knees collapse inwards, but now I consciously push them out. For this 30-day squat challenge, I'm focusing on consistency and progressive overload, gradually increasing reps or adding resistance. It's not just about counting days; it's about building strength and confidence! Sculpting My Core: Deep Dive into My 24-Day Abs Challenge Alongside the squats, I'm tackling a 24-day abs challenge, which I'm really looking forward to for that 'toned midsection' feeling. The challenge I found focuses on key exercises like crunches, leg raises, and planks, which are fantastic for working different 'types of abs' muscles. Crunches primarily hit the upper abs, helping to define that top section. Leg raises are incredible for the lower abs – I'm aiming for 50 leg raises a day as I progress, really feeling that burn! And planks? They're a full-body core stabilizer, working everything from your deep core muscles to your shoulders and glutes. My tip for making these more effective is to always focus on slow, controlled movements and really squeeze at the peak of the contraction. It’s amazing how much more you feel it when you slow down and focus on the muscle connection. Beyond the Burn: Squats, Cellulite, and Body Confidence One query I've seen pop up is about 'cellulite before and after squats.' It’s a common concern, and frankly, something many of us think about. While squats and strength training can't magically erase cellulite, they can definitely make a difference in how your skin looks and feels! Building muscle mass through exercises like squats helps to firm up the underlying tissue, which can lead to a smoother, more 'toned' appearance. It’s less about a direct 'cure' for cellulite and more about improving overall body composition. For me, it's about feeling strong and confident in my own skin, regardless of perceived imperfections. The mental boost from consistently working out and seeing improvements in strength and endurance is truly empowering. So, whether it's for building a stronger core, toning my legs, or just boosting my mood, I'm excited to share my progress and hopefully inspire some of you to join your own challenge! Let's get fit together!
